Rebecca Raney is an investigative journalist at U.S. Right to Know, a nonprofit public health research group that investigates corporate wrongdoing and government failures that threaten our health, environment and food system. Rebecca is an award-winning investigative journalist who has written for The New York Times, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, The Atlantic and Discovery Communications. For AAAS, she profiled the game-changing scientists of our time, with an emphasis on neuroscience and biotech. For The Times, she contributed to some of the biggest stories of the last decade, including coverage of the mass shooting in Las Vegas, which was recognized for staff reporting as a Finalist for the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for breaking news. She has taught data journalism at the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California. Other honors include top awards from the California Newspaper Publishers Association, the Best of Gannett and the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, as well as designation as a top-three finalist for the Livingston Award.
