Prior to joining U.S. Right To Know, Kamb filed more than 1,000 public records requests and regularly trained his colleagues on FOIA practices as the first-ever National FOIA Reporter for NBC News. He also worked as a longtime watchdog reporter for The Seattle Times, where he investigated sexual abuse allegations against Seattle Mayor Ed Murray that led to Murray’s resignation, and the dubious business dealings of high-profile lawyer Michael Avenatti before federal authorities indicted him on fraud, tax evasion and other crimes.
