In January 2023, U.S. Right to Know began submitting public records requests in pursuit of data from public institutions in an effort to discover what is known about the origins of the largest outbreak of Ebola virus in history, which afflicted West Africa in 2014, claiming more than 11,000 lives in Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. Below are documents we obtained during this investigation.

We are also filing freedom of information (FOI) lawsuits as part of our efforts to uncover what our government knows of the origins of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. These lawsuits are also posted below.

The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of California, seeks records for two FOIA requests, filed on January 24, 2023 and January 31, 2023.
