We abide by the standards of editorial independence recommended by the Institute for Nonprofit News.

We keep full authority over our editorial content to safeguard our journalism and independence. 

We accept contributions and grants from individuals and nonprofit organizations, including for the coverage of particular issues. We do not make news judgments based on these contributions. We publish a list of donors giving $5,000 or more per year. 

When we accept financial contributions, this does not constitute an endorsement of the donors or their interests.

We maintain a strict separation between our donors and our news coverage decisions. We cede no right of review or influence of editorial content, nor of unauthorized distribution of editorial content.
