AGRA documents disappeared from AGRA website; we posted them here

This page contains independent evaluations, strategy documents, country reports, and other information from AGRA (formerly the Alliance for a Green Revolution for Africa). The group supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID and others, seeks to transform African agriculture by shifting farmers from highly diversified food production towards more specialized, market-oriented production involving a greater reliance on expensive inputs including synthetic fertilizer and commercial seeds.

With a recent website update, AGRA reports and evaluations went missing from the site and links were broken, including a recent critical independent evaluation conducted by Mathematica. We are posting the documents here for the public record. (AGRA has since made the documents available again via the publications section of their website.) See our recent Tweet thread for more details, and our May 2022 report, Gates Foundation agriculture project in Africa flunks review.
