The University of California, Davis, has not adequately responded to California public records requests intended to determine how much influence the agriculture and food industries have had over its research on genetically engineered food and pesticides, charges a lawsuit filed late Wednesday in a Yolo County, Calif., court. U.S. Right to Know says it has filed 17 such requests with UC Davis since late January 2015 as part of a larger investigation of the relationship between the industries and multiple universities. UC Davis has provided just 751 pages of documents in response, the group says, “while similar requests at other universities have yielded thousands of pages each.”
